Senturion Lite Rackmount Environmental Monitor
Model E Temperature Monitor
- My Sensatronics Model E keeps dropping from my network.
- If you are using a managed switch that supports autonegotiation, manually configure the switch port to 10 Mbit/Half Duplex. Some switches are known to autonegotiate to 10 Mbit/Full Duplex, which is not supported by the units.
- Try a different switch port and Ethernet cable to eliminate failures in these as a possibility.
- If you are using SNMP traps, there was a bug in the trap processing: if you just use the first trap server the unit can intermittently lock up. The workaround is to put an unused IP in the next two. Example that may fail: (Current 192.168.2.3, 0.0.0.0, 0.0.0.0) this may fail. Workaround example: (Current 192.168.2.1, 192.168.2.3, 192.168.2.4) [where 192.168.2.3 and 192.168.2.4 are not running trap listeners.]
- Units purchased before 2006: Confirm that the power supply is good by swapping with a functioning unit, or any power supply capable of delivering at least 250 mA at 7 to 12 VDC.
If neither of these possible solutions work, please give us a call at (800) 633-1033 and we'll help determine what else may be causing this issue. Be sure to have your Ethernet switch make and model number ready as the technician will ask you for this. You can also send us a support request and a Sensatronics technician will promptly get back to you.

- Check that the power plug is completely inserted. In some units, the alignment of the power connector with the case cutout is such that the power connector will seem to be fully inserted but is not. This may result in connectivity issues.
